On this date in 1776


The members of the Continental Congress agreed to the Declaration of Independence in Congress in Philadelphia, PA. They then had it drafted into the document we all recognize and announced they had voted for it on July 4, 1776. The signatures were added later.

So, it’s really Independence Day today. But no one cares …
