For those of you who do not know, Nerd Mecca is going on as you are reading this. It’s called The Comic-Com, and it happens every year in San Diego.
As nerds from all over the planet head to their mecca, to meet their favorite Comic Book Artist and Writers. Lines of people at every table trying to get 15-30 seconds with their idols.
Not one to miss an opportunity, Hollywood has come in full force, putting in huge amounts of cash and pulled out all the stops bringing in movie stars, and up-coming trailers to movies that they hope will be a future blockbusters.
But ask any fanboy and they will tell you that they go for the costumes, which is like Halloween.
But for every hot girl dressed up as their favorite super hero, you get 100 average joes trying to pull off the same thing.

In related news Marvel comics, announced the up-coming cast of the Avenger movie to be made in 2012.
The cast is: “Iron Man” Robert Downey Jr, “Agent Colson” Clark Gregg, “Captain America” Chris Evans, “Thor” Chris Hemsworth, ”Black Widow” Scarlett Johansson, ”Nick Fury” Samuel L. Jackson, “Hawkeye” Jeremy Renner, and the newly announced “Hulk” Mark Ruffalo.

Of the picture of the naked grotesquery, the saddest thing is how small the censored sign is. The greatest thing is his complete and transcendant awesomeness. YEAH!
Many, many years ago, I went to a comics convention, and although there were few people in costume, those few who were would have fallen into the second group.
Of that second group, there are a couple who are less shameful than the rest:
1) Fat, bouffant Wonder Woman–She would be wonderful in a John Waters Movie.
2) Supergirl may be hefty, but her costume is appropriately tailored, unlike the mudskipper dressed as Lara Croft.
